The “Rosetta Stone” — that has been found in mid-July 1799 during construction of the fort with a French expedition that is military town of Rashid (ancient Rosetta) — contains text written in Egyptian hieroglyphs, Demotic (a written script employed by the Egyptians involving the seventh century B.C. plus the 5th century) and ancient greek language.
